Yesterday, I shared some comments on my Daily Breakout Trading strategy, Today, let’s consider some cases of our group members to see how can we improve the trade performance.

On 9 Nov 2020 (XAU 5m)

Ka used double confirm strategy to enter a sell order at a very accurate point 1953 using the 5m chart with TP 1952 (100 pipettes) SL 1963(1000 pipettes).  As the 5m chart was used to set the TP and SL, the target TP is very small which can be attained easily.  The SL level is however very big.  The winning rate, in general, is high.  The big drop happened on that day was missed. 

How can we capture the potential big trend that we missed? 

Suggestions: Besides considering 5m chart, it would be a good idea to consider the H1 and H4 chart as well.  Use Pivot level to set the TP and SL.

R2: 1964   R1 1958  PP: 1949  S1: 1939    S2: 1933 

In H4 chart, entered a sell order at 1953 using the breakout strategy, TP1 at PP level or S1 level.  This can improv the TP to SL ratio.  We may be able to capture part of the big drop in the big wave.

Francis’s Leman Signal

Francis used the Leman Signal and PZ Reversal Fractal strategy on 12 Nov and 25 Nov.  Both on XAU 5m chart.  I tried to compared these 2 cases to investigate why the second trade resulted in loss.  On 25 Nov, it was located close to the ceiling of the channel in the 5m chart.  This is the point where the buy stop was triggered.  It is not advisable to buy stop / sell stop when it is too close to the ceiling / floor of the channel.
